Would you like to transform your teeth into a set of beautiful pearly whites? You can with professional teeth whitening! Did you know that with age teeth naturally get more yellow and darker, plus years of drinking coffee, red wine or tea can tarnish teeth even more, but with teeth whitening, you can get a whiter, brighter smile quickly, safely, and with less sensitivity.
Experience Dramatic Results
We offer both in-chair whitening and take-home kits, both of which will give you brilliant results. In-chair whitening does the work of two weeks worth of daily whitening in a single session, giving you a confidence-boosting smile you’ve always wanted. With the take-home option, you’ll be given a custom whitening tray, made specifically for you by your dentist, allowing you to achieve a noticeably whiter smile in just a few days – and even better results after two weeks!
What Does the In-Chair Whitening Process Involve?
To get the best whitening results possible, it’s essential that your mouth be clean and healthy before the whitening process begins. Our hygienist will clean your teeth to ensure the gums are healthy and teeth are free of superficial stains, and plaque and calculus. Generally, it is desirable (but not always necessary) to have the following performed prior to whitening:
- all areas of decay cleaned and sealed;
- all gum disease treated and gums in a healthy state;
- all leaking and broken fillings sealed; and
- teeth free of pain and sensitivity.
Next, if you have not had one within the last six months and it is required, one of our dentists can perform a comprehensive examination of your teeth, gums and mouth. We will take X-rays of your back teeth to make sure there is no decay lurking between them or underneath old restorations.
Once you have the all clear to go ahead, we get you comfortable in the chair with a TV show or music. Your gums then will be covered, so they are protected during the whitening process. We then will apply a whitening gel solution to your teeth to whiten them using hydrogen or carbamide peroxide. To speed up the whitening process, an LED light will be used and we complete up to five cycles to get the best results possible. All our in-chair whitening sessions also include a take-home whitening kit, so you can immediately lock in and improve on, then touch-up and maintain in future your new shining smile.
How Does the Take-Home Kit Achieve Results?
A take-home whitening kit uses the custom whitening trays but you are taught how to apply the gel and use them so it can be done in the comfort of your own home; and is a great option for people who are committed to achieving their desired results in a more economical way. There are advantages to each type of whitening treatment and your dentist will go over all of this and more before you start, so you can make the right choice to suit you. Both options use the Pola Whitening System.
